Hi, I’m Scott Strubinger
RD, CAADCLCSW, CCTP

 Mental Health Therapist

Helping individuals find a new truth and a brighter future!

I find it helpful to think of therapy as being in recovery.

Bessel Van Der Kolk, in his book The Body Keeps The Score, defines recovery as

"re-establishing  ownership of your body and your mind... feeling free to know what you know and feel what you feel without becoming overwhelmed, enraged, ashamed, or collapsed."

Scott Strubinger

LCSW, CAADC, RD

A lifetime of experience...I have been educated and board certified as a clinical social worker and registered dietitian. I also have special training in helping people with trauma, family and relationship problems. My treatment methods can help you find solutions associated with anxiety, grief & loss, depression, and self esteem. Together we can explore your needs. You want to be happy, so let's explore the tools you need to navigate a new truth and a brighter future!

SHORT BIO

I began my career in the Peace Corps in 1990 as a healthcare volunteer, gaining powerful insights about the human condition.

The next 25 years were spent working in healthcare as a registered dietitian in public health, clinical and food service administration.

In 2013, I changed careers to pursue a practice as a mental health provider. I obtained designations as a licensed clinical social worker and CAADC.

Over the last 10 years I have been helping individuals in prominent behavioral healthcare settings to improve their mental health, establish a foundation for lasting recovery, and build a brighter future.

I am now accepting clients in my private practice, New Truth Therapy, right here in Ridley Park, Delaware County, PA.

WHO I AM HERE TO HELP

I work with adults, often people whose lives have been affected by trauma...personally or in your family. Bottom line, whatever you feel is holding you back, I am here to understand and find a path forward. You may be experiencing difficulty managing strong emotions, or having a feeling that you are out of control or not safe.

I want you to know that together we can overcome the shame and regret of the past so that you can see who you really are and understand that your life is really worth fighting for.
